But this spirit doesn't extend to criticism of figures like RMS, or
institutions such as the FSF? If you are in favour of honest dialogue,
honest critique, and open platforms ... surely this is exactly it?

The well-documented gender/ethnic/class breakdown of the open-source
community suggests that this approach hasn't worked too well over the past
couple of decades. Maybe it's time to try something else.
