It's a bit of both, but there's definitely a good bit of blame to put on SPI
here. What's ended up happening most times is that whatever conversation
we're having with SPI starts up just fine on their mailing list, then
they ask us some question we answer and then there's silence for weeks.
At the start of 2019 when this was happening and I was kinda new to
being secretary I just kept trying to poke them over email (which admittedly, I
did drop the ball on remembering to do few times), but it's gotten to a
point now I just poke them over email and if they don't respond by the
next time I check I end up just planning on going to SPI's IRC
once-monthly meetings. That worked last time, but now it seems things
are falling off again and I need to go to another one.

I should probably point out as well these two items aren't the only
things we've had issues with SPI on in the past. We've also had problems
with them getting back to us on invoices sometimes (in addition to some
of the issues we've had in general with certain sponsors taking a very
long time to complete invoices).

So far the IRC meetings seem to be the only reliable method for getting
in contact with them, and unfortunately I'm not aware of any other means
of communication we could use. Also if you're wondering, I did ask them
about other means of communication explicitly during the last time I was
in an IRC meeting with them but they said email is the way to go <<.

I should also note as well that the ledger data item on here isn't time
sensitive, so we're not in any danger with how long this is taking. We
have a lot of time before we'll run into trouble with the domain
transfer stuff as well, but we've been poking SPI plenty of times in
regards to that and _hopefully_ we should be finished with the domain in
the very near future as we've already got most of the steps for this
completed. Still, it's not great for things to take this long. I think
seeing you point out that this has actually been going on since 2019,
something which I didn't even notice until just now, makes it pretty
clear I should start going to SPI's board meetings on the regular if we
ever want to get anything done. So expect more of that in the future.

I'm a bit confused by this one, I can see the meeting summaries for
March and both of them mention the domain status:

Did you get these summaries from email? Probably also worth checking your spam
folder as well, I know for some folks my minutes sometimes get sent to
spam by gmail for unknown reasons. I'm able to find the minutes emails
for both 3/12 and 3/26 in my sent folder jfyi

yeah-most folks aren't around during the new year so it's expected that
some agenda items are missing (I keep a checklist in my notes of ongoing
agenda items though, so they're not forgotten about for subsequent
meetings).
