X.Org BoD meeting minutes 2013-06-27

These are the meeting minutes the X.Org Board of Directors [1] meeting.
Minutes and IRC logs are published on the wiki [2, 3].

The X.Org board meets every two weeks on Thu/Fri (depending on your
timezone) in the #xf-bod IRC channel on irc.oftc.net. Please refer to the
X.Org Google calendar [3] for time and date of the next meeting.

For any issues that need to come to the attention of the board please email
me or board at foundation.x.org and we will add it to the agenda for the next
meeting.

== Summary ==
DMCA safe-habour compliance was brought up on the board's mailing list. This
is an issue for freedesktop.org and will be pursued there.

The X.org wiki currently did not have a formal license for contributions.
Future contributions will be under CC-BY-SA [1], it is to be determined
whether a license can be applied to contributions made before today.

The wiki is currently in some disarray, preventing some from registering
for XDC. This will be sorted asap.

ITEM: DMCA compliance for safe-harbour
This is something for freedesktop.org in general, less for us. For more info
regarding compliance see:

ACTION: Alan C to pester sitewranglers to get this sorted
STATUS: Pending

ITEM: Wiki license: CC-BY-SA
Request for translation lead to the realization we don't have a license on
the wiki pages. License for future contributions will be CC-BY-SA, for
existing wiki pages the situation is unclear. SFLC will be contacted for
comment.
ACTION: Matt D to contact SFLC, Martin P to add license info to wiki
STATUS: Pending

ITEM: XDC Updates
Wiki needs to be fixed for people to register. More content needed for
the XDC wiki pages.
ACTION: Keith P to add the required bits, get wiki sorted
