X.Org BoD meeting minutes 2023-03-22

These are the meeting minutes the X.Org Board of Directors [1] meeting.
Minutes and IRC logs are published on the wiki [2, 3].

The X.Org board meets every two weeks on Thu/Fri (depending on your
timezone) in the #xf-bod IRC channel on irc.oftc.net. Please refer to the
X.Org Google calendar [4] for time and date of the next meeting.

For any issues that need to come to the attention of the board please email
me or board at foundation.x.org and we will add it to the agenda for the next
meeting.

Started working in the website. We have now the event created
(https://indico.freedesktop.org/event/4/) but still needs to add content to
it.
Asked for DNS redirection and reset the sponsorbox:

Current idea is to open the CFP at some point in april.

Someone else is going to have to take over the task of coordinating the
gathering of proposals, pinging people and so on, as Samuel will not be re-
running in 2024.

ITEM: GSoC/EVoC
Potential GSoC contributors have until April 4, 1800UTC, to submit their
applications/proposals. We currently have one student being mentored, and
another proposal for mentoring related to pipewire. We also really need to
update the out of date ideas page.

page.
