fwiw, membership numbers since 2010 as listed in the election results
emails:

year: members/votes cast
2010: 144/54
2011: 144/45
2012: 144/40
2013: 75/32 [1]
2014: 83/37
2015: 69/41
2016: 65/61
2017: 89/73

So the data doesn't show decreasing members, if anything it shows
election participation has taken an upswing 2016 and 2017.
but otherwise I agree, outreach to get more members is always good :)

[1] first year we started with regular member expiry before elections, thus
forcing members to re-apply. this explains the drop in numbers
