Ok, I withdraw my accusations of you not reading the email and my apologies.
Best I can tell is that the members list discarded it because Egbert used
his suse address. I think the list has auto-discard from non-subscribers
enabled because it doesn't show up in the archives either. The board
doesn't have this option enabled, so I still received it as normal. Sorry
about that, I didn't realise this until you pointed out you didn't receive
it. Anyway:

Egbert's reply in response to the meeting minutes ITEM: travel sponsoring
"""
There in fact was a longer deliberation about whether to sponsor the golem.de
coverage and the reasons for the denial is worth mentioning here:
- Golem.de is a German publication and therefore reaches only a limited audience
(Google Translate was not considered a viable way to 'internationalize' the
  articles).
- The audience of Golem is of course different and less technical than the one
of LWN - the Phoronix' coverage of XDC for essentially the same audience was
also mentioned in this context: It seemed to be unfair to sponsor Golem.de as
Phoronix was never sponsored (of course Michael had never asked).

All this can be found on in the IRC logs.

Egbert
"""

Cheers,
   Peter
