So where are these "essentially the XDC proceeedings" non-paywall 
things this time? I see 2 posts about 2 talks, and no twitter subscriber 
links.

I understand the german only thing as a reason to refuse golem.de, but 
really, this is pushing it.

If you really want to solely support lwn, why not buy a group 
subscription for x.org members? That would be less unilateral, and much 
more useful.
