Same here: I'll be merging the input-hotplug branch for 7.3, which will
finally give us proper support for multiple, hotpluggable, input
devices.

Strongly agreed.  As can be seen on xorg@, I'm interested in seeing XDC
as diverse as possible: I believe we need stronger representation there,
and possibly a slightly longer conference encompassing the opportunity
to all hack together, a la the hothouses generally organised by Egbert
for European conferences (FOSDEM, EXDC).

I would like, however, to see a slightly stronger interest in getting
groups of people to certain conferences.  Being able to spend time with
Keith and Eric in particular at GUADEC was invaluable, and if we have an
opportunity to get a small, focussed development group together at
general open source conferences (LCA, GUADEC, and OLS come to mind), we
should jump at the opportunity to do so.
