I think that X needs more developers to help with the dev
work, and that X.org needs more members to help with the
admin work.  I also think these two statements might be
somehow related. :-)

I want to make it easier (using funding and infrastructure
when possible) for new developers to get on board by
providing obvious gateways into X development, in the
fashion that has been successful with other community-mode
open source projects such as Linux.  I also want to
encourage all contributing, effective developers of X to
become X.org members, and will do my part to continue
current efforts to streamline the membership process and to
identify and remove other membership barriers.
