I am strongly against this open letter, I think you have completely
missed the point of the values that the X.org and freedesktop.org
communities are based on.
And I’m very worried and these new waves (I don't know the name of)
like "Welcoming nomenclature" went too far and they don't realize that
they are damaging open source, in 1995 people laughed at me for saying
that I use Linux, they didn't even know what Linux was. Today it seems
that there is nothing to do and so we are going to invent some new
tasks to entertain people. I think they were offended by very little,
but all what I wrote is just my opinion.
So please don't say that the vast majority of Xorg members are in
agreement with this letter, as I'm not and let that be very clear. And
I'm curious to know what the percentage is.
Anyway, I think that this has nothing to do with X.org and that it is
politics and I don't want to discuss politics, because exactly this is
not the right place for that.
Best regards,
