Again, what i am saying is, all i have seen is, "but everyone else does
it too". I have not seen a solid write-up of things, and definitely did
not notice "but we have to give up _all_ assets". There really has been
a severe lack of information on the whole SPI thing.
Although we can be very glad that we do have public irc meetings and
nicely condensed minutes (things used to be quite different before
2010), they do not tell us what the boardmembers involved with the
initial push to SPI learned during that process, and what this truly
means for the Xorg foundation. Only very little of that trickled through
in the minutes, and referring to them is not a good substitute.
