X.Org BoD meeting minutes 2013-07-11

These are the meeting minutes the X.Org Board of Directors [1] meeting.
Minutes and IRC logs are published on the wiki [2, 3].

The X.Org board meets every two weeks on Thu/Fri (depending on your
timezone) in the #xf-bod IRC channel on irc.oftc.net. Please refer to the
X.Org Google calendar [3] for time and date of the next meeting.

For any issues that need to come to the attention of the board please email
me or board at foundation.x.org and we will add it to the agenda for the next
meeting.

== Summary ==
The wiki has finished migration to ikiwiki now. There are some issues that
should be sorted out manually on a per-page basis. XDC pages are back up.

After last fortnight's decision to use CC-BY-SA for wiki content, Julien
Cristau reminded us that MIT is better for moving content from the wiki to
official documentation. Vote carried, we'll be using MIT for wiki content.

ITEM: Wiki migration
Wiki migration is complete now and runs on ikiwiki. There are still some
issues with various pages, but these need to be done manually.

ACTION: Fixing up the general issues
STATUS: Complete

ITEM: Wiki license: MIT
Julien suggested to use MIT after last week's decision for CC-BY-SA. MIT
allows us to move content from the wiki into documentation without having to
worry about the license.

STATUS: Pending

ITEM: X.Org trademark
The board received an email from a .cn registrar. A company is trying to
register 'similar-sounding' domain names after registering X as a brand
name.
ACTION: Alan C to dig up trademark info, Peter H to contact the registrar
